I was pleasantly surprised with overall visit. Normally, a visit to the Dentist is not one that the average person looks forward to. I was for the most part satisfied with my experience, however, I did feel like my actually cleaning was a little lacking. I didn't feel like the dental assistant took the time that I would have liked to give me a really thorough cleaning. I have been to dental hygenists that have taken 40 minutes or longer to scrape the plaque and polish my teeth and my cleaning at Shadow Mountain took about 7 minutes. I would haved asked for a better clean but that was realy the only complaint that I had with my overall experience.

Dentist knew before basic exam that I had a filling that came out. During the exam, he was checking molars and pressed into my molar that had the cavity with no filling. This caused shock-like pain. I think he should have been aware that this would happen, and he should have been sensitive to my vulnerable molar.

The dental assistant that made and fitted my temporary bridge made the comment that she was concerned about my breaking the temporary. The temporary bridge was fitting high and she had to grind it down to fit. My mouth was very numb from the anesthetic and it was difficult for me to fell much about my bite. When the anesthetic wore off it was very apparent that my bite was hitting the temporary bridge. I had dinner around six hours after the temporary was placed. I made every attempt to chew on the other side of my mouth. Shortly after starting my meal the temporary broke. I'm very concerned about the fitting of my new bridge when it is placed. If the office had another dental assistant I would like to have them on my next appointment. Please contact me for an appointment to get the temporary replaced. Thank you

I did not appreciate the hygenist/assistant leaving my child to wait in the middle of his appointment/cleaning a couple of times. I was on a timeline and she seemed to not understand that. The dentist and ortho department were very accomodating to my time constraint. I would prefer not to have the person who worked with my son for any kind of dental care for anyone in my family. Also, she was not very friendly and welcoming to my child.

The dentist, although young, was knowledgeable, efficient, gentle and caring. Something I do not think I could have gotten with a more “seasoned” provider. My visit was overall a positive one. I was only planning to have a cleaning but after speaking to the dentist I went ahead and got a crown. During the procedure my blood sugar dropped and I became nauseated and dizzy. The dentist immediately noticed the problem and gave me a second to compose myself before continuing. Still under distress, the hygienist noticed that I was cold and got me a blanket. I must commend both of these individuals because I said nothing to either of them about the problems.

The office visit was basically an entire day visit; from 3pm-9:40pm. We asked to be referred to another denstist because there was no dentist on duty for surgery that day, then I was told if we waited until 6:30pm he would arrive by then. We come back at 6:30 and they tell us it's one more hour wait. The denstist did not start root canal until after 8:30pm, and was not even able to finish. Yes it's awesome there's no more pain, yet the service could've been better. Overall the Dental Office is great though.

Would have liked to have received tool for dislodging food if it gets lodged while I was there having my Oral Surgery since I don't believe 1 week afterwards will do me much good if I have an appointment. Not satisfied with the lack of experience as it appeared that the person who tried to insert the IV needle had. She used the same needle twice in 2 different spots in my right hand before attempting for a 3rd time with a new needle. It was extremely painful and Dr. Svarney had to go into my left wrist with a Pediatric needle which was also extremely painful and 2 days later, I am still in pain and my left wrist is swollen. The surgery went fine, but having experienced people inserting the IV is very important to avoid any infection issues.
