I felt as though the entire staff was very professional. They were also very clear about each step that they were about to perform. As a patient, I feel that it is important to understand what someone is about to do to your mouth. I was very impressed by the fact that the Dental Assistant x-rayed my mouth again after the procedure was complete. I was also impressed by the use of technology to help the team diagnose my condition. I feel that as a team your office functions professionally. I know that these surveys are to help you find areas in which you can improve, but I feel that you guys are perfect. If I can post a referral to any type of review site, I will be happy to. Unlike previous appointments, it was a half hour from my appointment time before the hygenist was there, although she stopped in and said it would be just a short time more. The dentist came in in the meantime.

Over all dental care was very good. It is the check in process that could stand some improvement. The computer they point you to so you can check in is very impersonal and then you need a log in code which is another trip back to the counter to see if they have one. This part of the over all check in needs to be improved. Just check the patient in at the counter get rid of the computer check it which is not working for the office. I have a computer lab background and your check in process via the computer is a waste of time for the front desk and the patient.

I was very happy with my overall experience. The financial coordinator was patient with my husband and me and she was happy to take time to explain our options. The dentist and assistant were very nice and treated me like a person, not just a patient. They made sure I was comfortable throughout my procedure and allowed me to take breaks when I needed them to relax my sensitive jaw. Dr. Russell Mitchell was professional, courteous, and took the time to explain choices & options thoroughly, so I could make a well informed decision. The dental assistant (I believe her name was Kristie) who took my x-rays was also very courteous and took the time to explain the steps we would be taking; always making sure I was comfortable. Dentists' offices make many people uncomfortable, nervous, or "on edge" (I am one of those people)...I felt comfortable, and relaxed because of the level of personal attention and how well everything was explained. My old dentist did NONE of this; that is why I have a new one in Dr. Mitchell.

My husband was really impressed with his dental care at this facility so I thought I would go as well. I was thoroughly impressed with the complete coordination, time management, and personal care that I received. I have recommended this to my friends in the Sun City Grand community as well as when I am out and about playing tennis and someone is in need of good dental care. Dr. Mitchell was excellent and very thorough. Angie, who did my cleaning was quite gentle and very competent. So overall, quite happy with my visit!

My appointment was for 11:00 and even though I was 10 minutes early, it was 11:25 before I was taken back for treatment. I feel having to wait 35 minutes is a little extreme. Once I was taken back my experience was then very satisfying.

My only problem was the use of an overpowering air freshener or candle in the office. The office staff should be aware of possible patient allergy to their usage. I mentioned this to the office staff and did not feel that they were concerned with my problem. I mentioned this to the dental assistant and she said that she would talk to office staff. She was very concerned that my allergies were bothering me because of this.
