About the Author
Eric Ellis, DMD, Board Certified, is a Smile Generation®-trusted pediatric dentist and an Owner Doctor of multiple dental clinics. As Chairman of the Pediatric National Dental Advisory Board, he dedicates himself to ensuring that children receive the oral care they need to maintain strong and healthy smiles throughout their lives.
As a member of the Smile Generation Content Team, Dr. Ellis is excited to share his unique perspective on pediatric dental issues and the importance of good oral hygiene. In his spare time, he has donated his clinical expertise on a mission trip to rural Ethiopia, providing high-quality dental care to an underserved population.
When not busy fighting tooth decay, he enjoys spending time at home with his wife and two children. His hobbies include climbing, hiking, and weight lifting.
Education
Dr. Ellis received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. He has earned a specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry and completed his pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit.
He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a particular distinction earned by only a small number of pediatric dentists for demonstrating the highest levels of knowledge and training.
