About The Author
Dr. Robert Benavides is a multi-practice owner and Regional Clinical Partner for the San Antonio and Austin regions at PDS Health, where he supports clinical excellence, innovation, and mentorship across supported practices. He leads with a strong focus on integrated, patient-centered care anchored in the Mouth-Body Connection®.
At Stone Oak Modern Dentistry, Dr. Benavides has built a high-performing, hygiene-driven practice recognized as Hygiene Office of the Year in 2024. His team is known for advancing the use of salivary diagnostics and clinical protocols that support early detection and proactive treatment–making the practice a national leader in preventive care strategies.
In addition to his work with PDS Health, Dr. Benavides serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, where he mentors fourth-year dental students through hands-on clinical rotations. He’s also a frequent contributor to professional publications and uses his LinkedIn platform to share insights on technology, diagnostics, and the evolving role of dentistry in whole-body health.
Dr. Benavides earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Science in Biology, and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the Texas Dental Association (TDA).
