Team members of The Smile Generation® visited the Ronald McDonald House in Orange, Calif. to cook breakfast for the families staying there

Giving Back Makes Us Smile

The Smile Generation’s outreach program encourages team members to venture into their community and provide service to those in need. On March 18, 2015 members of the marketing team visited the Ronald McDonald House in Orange, CA to serve the residents a hot meal consisting of breakfast burritos, fruit salad, danishes and juice.

Smile Generation team members were also able to meet and interact with some of the families staying at Ronald McDonald House. Speaking with the families face to face and hearing their stories really brings home the importance of serving others.

The families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House are generally displaced from their usual home, due to the need to provide specialized services to an ill child in their family. At the Orange County Ronald McDonald House, they provide everything a family needs to get by, all in one convenient setting; this includes:

  • 20 private guest rooms with private bath
  • spacious community kitchen with space for groceries
  • complimentary laundry facilities
  • transportation to and from the hospital
  • 24-7 staffing
  • home-cooked meals on most days
  • much more
