Movember, Mo Flossing: 3 Reasons Why Men Are Making Oral Health A Bigger Priority

Cancer.net reported that rates of oral and oropharyngeal cancer are nearly twice as high in men as women, with an estimated 7,760 men dying from one of these diseases in 2020. But with early diagnosis and treatment, the survival rate is 80-90%. Oral cancer screening is a simple procedure that can easily and quickly be done during a regular dental exam. Oral Health and Heart Disease

A study by The Journal Of Oral Diseases (2016) shows erectile dysfunction popping up in almost twice as many men with gum disease. A study from The Journal of Sexual Medicine showed men in their thirties with gum disease were three times more likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction.3 That information alone should be enough to encourage guys to floss like your (sex) life depends on it.

Brush and floss twice a day, eat more fruits and vegetables, rinse your mouth with water after meals, go easy on alcohol-based mouthwash, and get regular dental checkups twice a year.
